At only 23, Alexander Malofeev is already a big name in Europe and China, and his YouTube channel has over 97,000 subscribers. Boston Classical Review praised his "probing interpretive depths" and “rare poetic grace." Winner of numerous international awards, Malofeev became interested in the music of Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Mahler, Rachmaninoff, and Prokofiev by the time he was 7. Following acclaimed performances in Aspen the last two years, he returns for works by Romantic composers, including Kabalevsky's playful and rarely heard 3rd Sonata and Scriabin's monumental Fantasie in B minor. In a recital last year in Virginia, "Malofeev proved to be an unusually sensitive colorist and exponent of musical fantasy. Scriabin's seemingly improvisational musical constructs clearly strike a chord with this pianist," according to one reviewer.

See this rising star of the piano world whose technical mastery is matched by his riveting interpretations!
