Dorothy DeLay Week
July 29 - August 4
The legendary violin teacher Dorothy DeLay taught in Aspen for 30 years, from 1971 to 2001, and in her honor, the sixth week of the festival (July 29-Aug. 4) will celebrate her legacy and her as an emblem of the transformational mentorship that continues to this day. The week will feature two of her students in performance, Gil Shaham and Midori. The rest of the week will be full of open classes, competitions, and panels spotlighting the teaching and student artists of this summer and the special exchange of artistry and wisdom that happens only in Aspen.
