COVID Policies

06

The Aspen Music Festival and School continues to closely monitor public health conditions and will always operate following all state and county health orders to safeguard its artists, patrons, artist-faculty, students, staff, and community. Guidelines may change at any time and this page will be updated to reflect current conditions.

In the event that the AMFS must rescind a student’s offer of admission due to unforeseen circumstances, tuition and housing deposits/fees will be refunded. Application fees are not refundable.

Testing and Symptom Surveillance

Students experiencing COVID symptoms may request a rapid test at the Office of Student Services, the Residence Life Office, at the Front Desk, or through an Orchestra Manager. Any absences due to illness must be communicated to the orchestra manager, company manager, or program administrator prior to the student’s rehearsal start time.  A doctor’s note must be submitted within 7 days of the missed service for the absence to be considered excused. Symptomatic individuals with a negative result are strongly recommended to complete a second test in 48 hours. All members of the AMFS community are expected to take responsibility for monitoring their own symptoms and notifying their close contacts if they test positive for COVID-19.
