Performance Venues
The Aspen Music Festival has two concert venues: the Michael Klein Music Tent and Harris Concert Hall. The Festival also uses the Bucksbaum Campus for teaching, rehearsing, and select performances. In addition, events take place in venues in Aspen (such as the Wheeler Opera House), and throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Please visit our venues page for more information.
Concessions & Merchandise
Concessions and merchandise are available for purchase during Aspen Festival Orchestra, Aspen Chamber Symphony, and Special Event performances taking place at the Michael Klein Music Tent. Posters and select merchandise can be purchased online during the off-season.
Concert Policies
Doors open 30 minutes before the listed concert start time. Once the concert starts, late arrivals will be seated based on that concert’s late seating policy, as defined by the artist or artists. Intermission details will be included in each concert program.
Non-orchestral personnel and all non-essential personnel are prohibited from accessing backstage spaces of the Michael Klein Music Tent and Harris Concert Hall. On some occasions, artists may greet patrons on the Paepcke Terrace or the Harris Concert Hall Plaza following performances.
Please turn off all cell phones, alarms, pagers, and other audible electronic devices before the concert.
Audience members may take photographs before and after the concert, as well as during intermission and applause. No photography or recording of any kind is permitted during the performance.
No food or drinks other than bottled water or beverages contained in approved AMFS drinkware are allowed in the concert venues. Beverages contained in approved AMFS drinkware are only permitted in the Klein Music Tent.
Concerts are recommended for children over six. Children over the age of 4 are permitted to attend concerts if they can observe concert behavior. Except for specific young people’s events, children under four will not be admitted.
Pets are not permitted in any concert facility. Trained service animals are welcome. Pets are permitted on the David Karetsky Music Lawn. All dogs must be kept on a leash while on the Aspen Meadows grounds, including while on the David Karetsky Music Lawn.
Smoking is strictly prohibited at all AMFS venues.

General Information
Lost & Found
The Box Office will hold any personal items left in the facilities. Inquire at the Box Office or call (970) 925 9042. Please note that lost and found services are not available during performances and peak Box Office hours. The Festival cannot be responsible for personal property.
Weather/Concert Attire
Summers in Aspen are beautiful, but the weather is variable and it is best to come prepared. The Michael Klein Music Tent is a covered, open-air venue without temperature control. Evenings cool off considerably in the mountains and patrons should always bring a sweater or light jacket when attending evening events. There are umbrellas, fleeces, and blankets available for purchase at the Merchandise Kiosk.
Campus Tours
Backstage tours of the Michael Klein Music Tent and Harris Concert Hall are available on select Mondays from 12pm to 1pm. These tours offer visitors an opportunity to learn about the history of both performance venues and to view them from audience, musician, and backstage vantage points. Tours begin in front of the Tent entrance.
We also offer tours of the Matthew and Carolyn Bucksbaum Campus, completed in 2016, on select Mondays from 10 am to 11 am. 2025 information coming soon!
